Just walked down to the Starbucks on Van Ness (which I found using my trusty and power-hungry iPhone) for a cup of coffee.
What I found was a really smart idea on behalf of Wells Fargo and Starbucks. They have opened a co-located store (see photo) where there's a full bank and Starbucks. Great move for Wells Fargo. "Excuse me sir, but while you're enjoying your vanilla latte, would you like to learn more about our high interest savings accounts?". Wells Fargo has a captive audience for their services even if they're only passively advertising. Also, after a while you may come to associate a stodgy old bank like Wells Fargo with the hipper, younger Starbucks.
Lastly, and related to my previous post about centralized services, you can get two things done in one place. Bank and brew. Genius.
